Nursery
Welcome to our Nursery!
We were praised by Ofsted for our 'very effective teaching and well-resourced play areas.'
Nursery is run by our experienced Nursery teachers Mrs Hodge, Mrs McEwan and supported by qualified Nursery Nurse Mrs Bristow.
As all children are welcome in our Early Riser Breakfast club and After-School Clubs, nursery care is available at Moulsecoomb from 7.45am - 5.30pm.
We welcome and encourage visits to our warm and friendly nursery. Call the office to arrange yours on 01273 605 700.
Here at Moulsecoomb Nursery every child is welcomed, nurtured and encouraged to thrive. We provide a beautiful environment and exciting learning experiences, helping children to reach their full potential through their play and learning.

We offer 30 hours per week free learning and care to children of working parents. We offer 15 hours to all children, and extra sessions can be paid for if needed. Sessions are as follows for 15 hours. Children entitled to 30 hours will attend full time.
Lunch is priced at £2.70 per day. If your child is entitled to free school meals or you wish to provide a packed lunch then you don't pay for lunch, however there is an additional daily charge of 50p to cover staffing costs.

Settling in
Making your child feel safe and cared for is our highest priority. We have several systems to help your child settle into our nursery.
Early visits
Visits to the nursery are very welcome. You can pop in with your child as often as you like in the lead up to starting nursery and start getting to know the staff and children.

Home visit
The nursery staff will offer to visit you and your child at home just before they start nursery. This really helps children to feel comfortable with their new teachers as they will have met them in their home, where they feel most safe and confident.
Play morning
On the day before nursery starts you will be invited for a play morning with all the other new children and their families. A great chance to make new friends!
The first few days
All children are different and will take different times to settle. You will be encouraged to stay with your child at first and discuss with your key worker when you are ready to start leaving your child. This may even be just for 5 minutes for the first few times, to reassure your child and help them gradually get used to being at nursery.
